Hi there, and welcome to my lil’ corner of the Internet. I was previously senior news editor at Giant Bomb, a personality-driven video game website. Now, I’m a senior reporter at Kotaku. Prior to Giant Bomb, I wrote for 1UP, MTV, G4, and others. My work focuses on telling the stories about why people make games and why people play games. Games have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I’ve been writing about them since someone gave me the idea. Though it’s been more than a decade, I can’t see a reason to stop anytime soon. You might also know me from the various talks I’ve given in the past few years. My panels and speeches touch on my experience as a public figure in video game culture, but explain how we’re all public figures in 2014. There are plenty of ways to follow my work. While I try to respond to everyone who gets in touch, that’s becoming increasingly difficult as the years go on. Do know that everything is read, and your feedback is always appreciated. My work doesn’t exist without your continued support. Illustration courtesy of the amazingly talented Kyu-bum Lee.
